The registration and parent portal pages are enabled by adding ‘short codes’ to WordPress pages or posts.

Add the Registration Page

1. Create a new blank page and set the title as, eg., ‘Registration’.
2. Paste the shortcode ‘

4. Click to view the page. You should now see the initial registration screen.

Add the Parent Portal Page

1. Create a new blank page and set the title as, eg., ‘Parent Portal’ (the name is up to you).
2. Paste the shortcode ‘

   Portal Home

   Username or Email Address

   Password

   Remember Me

   Through the Parent Portal area you can keep up to date with the latest news and announcements from DancePress, view and edit your profile, view your student's classes, and view and print out your scheduled payment records.

   News

   News items and information will appear here when they are added by the site administrators.

3. Click ‘Update’.
4. Click to view the page. You should now see the parent portal screen.
5. Note: If you are a WordPress admin, you will probably see the message “Your account is currently inactive. Please register for the current session …“. This is normal. Log out and create a test user using the registration page to view the parent portal live.
